With a strong international orientation and elite teaching in small classes, the Carl Benz School of Engineering offers high school graduates the unique opportunity to study internationally renowned German engineering in English. The 3-year bachelor’s program B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering (International) aims to prepare future engineers for a successful career by offering specializations in the 5th and 6th semester. Students can choose their core studies from Automotive Engineering, Global Production Management and Energy Engineering.

The KIT Online Application Portal for the B.Sc. program in Mechanical Engineering (International) at the Carl Benz School of Engineering is currently open! You can now apply to the B.Sc. program in Mechanical Engineering (International) until April 30th, 2024 for a start in the winter semester 2024/2025. Don’t forget to register for the exclusive CBS College Program in parallel.

Secure On-Campus Housing
Carl Benz School provides its students with secure on-campus housing in the city center of Karlsruhe. A room on our campus is guaranteed to at least 50 first year College Program participants. The accommodation meets high service and living environment standards. Besides modern and comprehensively equipped living areas, additional services such as cleaning services or washing facilities are offered.

CBS Language Courses
Our CBS Language Courses as a part of the College Program contain Technical English, Intercultural Communication as well as German as a foreign language. In small groups, students can choose between German language levels A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1 upon availability.

Social Events & Teambuilding
At Carl Benz School, students take part in many Social Events such as our Welcome Back Events, Bachelor Presentations, Graduation Ceremonies, Movie Nights and many more. Our team building activities make sure you settle in well and get to know your fellow students even before the lecture start.

Administrative Support
CBS College Program Participants gain access to the CBS Student Office as a central point for support in academic procedures, translation of official documents, arrival support at CBS, assistance on medical and other emergencies and facilitation of the University registration process.

Pre-Semester
The Pre-Semester is an eight-week preparatory course in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English. The course aims to provide students with the knowledge to successfully start their studies in Mechanical Engineering (International). In addition, various excursions, team building events and social events ensure that our students settle in well in Germany and are in contact with fellow students right from the start.

The Online Application Portal will open again in December this year for the application to B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (International) starting in the 2025/2026 winter semester.
